New Nollywood Movies to Watch out!

Directed and produced by Nigerian Born Chineze Anyaene, “IJE” is a compelling drama with organic twists and turns. Anyaene is the youngest female director, and the first woman to film 35mm in Nollywood. Also produced by Paula Moreno, one of the first Producers in L.A. to take on the challenge of filming a Nollywood feature, the film boasts of an internationally diverse cast, such as Nigerian A-lister’s Genevieve Nnaji, who was recently profiled by Oprah Winfrey as one of the most famous people in the world, Nigeria’s sweetheart Omotola Ekeinde, and critically acclaimed actor Clem Ohameze.  Anyaene and Moreno, two trailblazing minority women, are determined to make a change in the international movie industry by merging the Hollywood and Nollywood industries.

Synopsis of Guilty Pleasures

What happens when a bored, pampered, wealthy woman (Nse Ikpe-Etim) is married to an emotionally-distant, busy man (Ramsey Nouah)? And is visited by a happy-go-lucky, loving (did I forget to mention attractive?) brother-in-law (Majid Michel) with plenty of time on his hands? Fireworks thats what!
Guilty Pleasures is Produced by Emem Isong and Desmond Elliot.
Written by Uyai Ikpe-Etim and Bola Aduwo.
Directed by Desmond Elliot and Daniel Ademinokan.

Emem Isong and Uche Jombo collaborate to shoot a new comedy titled ‘Nollywood Hustler’.
Elvis (Charles Inojie) and Lucky (Bishop) are two no-good-out-of-work hustlers who want to shoot a film. They enlist the help of Prince Adolphus Akabogwu (Ejike Asiegbu) to sponsor it and the pepper soup joint assistant Scholarstica (Uche Jombo) to feature. But how do they get the A-List actors, Monalisa Chinda and Ramsey Nouah (acting as themselves) to act without paying their exorbitant fee? They then come up with a brilliant plan that leads to severe consequences for the pair. ‘Nollywood Hustler’ is a satire on the film making process in Nigeria, that will leave you laughing from start to finish.

Produced by Emem Isong & Uche Jombo.
Directed by Moses Inwang
Written by Bola Aduwo & Uduak Isong Oguamanam.
It has Uche Jombo as the Executive Producer and features several stars in cameo appearances.
