Soulful singer Sade has announced that she is to release a brand new album, her first in almost a decade. Our first introduction to Sade was in 1985 with her debut album “Diamond Life” from which the classic hits “Smooth Operator” and “No Ordinary Love” where taken. Sade, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, composer, and record producer became one of the most critically acclaimed and most respected artists of the 80’s, in the process carving out her own place on the scene with her intimate downbeat jazz inspired soul. Sade famously came out of retirement to perform at the MOBO Awards back in 2000! The new album is to be titled “Soldier of Love” and comes 9 years after the release of her last album “Lovers Rock”. A truly unique and vital artist, it’s great to have her back. The new album will be released on February 8, 2010, just in time for Valentines Day!
